By now you've heard about the Top Gun Fighting Clams. They're Top Gun's Varsity All Stars, chosen from our box lacrosse league to represent our region at tournaments around the country. And they are widely regarded as the area's best select team.

Now, the Clams have a farm team. Re-introducing the Top Gun Rising Clams.

Over the past years, the Littlenecks (what the Rising Clams were known as previously) have competed in a number of very high level tournaments, punctuated by a Tri State Summer Tournament Championship in 2005, in which the 9th/10th grade Littlenecks beat many of the nation's best in that age group!

Most impressive with the Rising Clams is how many go on to play for the Fighting Clams. When we pick our Fighting Clams teams, the first place we look is to the past Rising Clam team rosters. Because a player's performance as part of the Rising Clams has proven very indicative of how they'll be as a Clam. We believe nothing shows how a player will react to the rigors and demands of such a tournament than to see it first hand.

The Fighting Clam Coaches pay very close attention to the Rising Clams. In fact, sometimes just months or even weeks after the Rising Clams play at their last event, the team's best player or players are called up to play for the Clams.

So if you want an inside track to the Clams, there's no better way than to first be a Rising Clam. And if you want to be a Rising Clam, keeping playing hard in our leagues, and at Clam Camp. If you've got what it takes, we'll take notice.
