TOP GUN LACROSSE CELEBRATES ITS 25TH CAMP SEASON

CLAM ALUMNI FROM WEEK OF 3/29 - 4/3

A mix of usual and new suspects

This week was about seeing not only the usual suspects we've come to expect to see on this list, but a couple of newbies as well.

With that, here...we...go...

#1.  Tim Bigelow
Hobart
Attack
The Rivers School/Northfield Mount Hermon
Comments: Anyone who has seen Tim play knows he his very capable of having this type of game.  Three goal with 2 assists against #12 Denver doesn't come as a suprise to anyone here.  We've just been waiting for it to happen.  The only negative of the game: Hobart lost 11-15.

#2. Brendan Grant
#9 Bentley
Attack
Xaverian Brothers HS
Comments: Apparently, Brendan wasn't happy with Bentley's struggles of late, so he did what a team leader is supposed to do: take over.  After starting the season 0-3, Bentley has had two desicive wins led by Brendan.  On Wednesday, Brendan went for 4 goals and 1 assist in a 8-4 win over Assumption.  Then in Sunday's contest against Franklin Pierce, Brendan tallied 3 goals.

#3. Jordan Greenfield
Fairfield
Attack
The Rivers School
Comments: After being quiet for a stretch, Jordan had a three assist performance on Saturday to help lift the Stags to a 13-11 win over Bellarmine to get Fairfield back above .500.

#4. Brendan Gill
Salem State
Goalie
Chelmsford HS
Comments: We haven't seen Brendan's name on this list for a bit and I guess it bothered him a bit because this week he made sure we would notice.  On Thursday, Brendan was only need for a half against Mass. Maritime, making 11 saves and allowing only 1 goal (a 91.7% save percentage) in an 11-7 win.  Saturday was a little more demanding, as Brendan was called upon to make 16 saves (80% save percentage) in an 8-4 win against UMass-Boston.

#5. Brendan Wilbur
Quinnipiac
Attack
Hingham HS
Comments: Brendan got his first two points of the season on Thursday with two goals in a 13-12 thrilling win against Bryant.

#6. Eric Slingerland
Harvard
Midfield
Phillips Exeter
Comments: Unfortunately, the 2 assists that Eric dished out on Saturday weren't enough to help the Crimson against Albany as Harvard came up one goal short in an 11-12 loss.

#7.  Steve Manning
#15 Trinity
Midfield
The Rivers School
Comments: Trinity continues to roll this season, now standing at 7-0 (4-0 in the NESCAC, tied with #1 Tufts for first in the league).  Steve continues to do what he can in helping the cause.  Wednesday against Lasell, Steve notched a goal in a 13-5 win.  Saturday against Williams, Steve netted a goal and dished out an assist in a 12-8 victory.

#8. Mark Goodrich
#5 Johns Hopkins
Midfield
The Rivers School
Comments: The Blue Jays of Baltimore continue to knock off the top teams, this week taking down #4 North Carolina 10-9.  Mark continues to be in the mix of Hopkins' success as he tallied a goal in the winning effort.

#9. Chris Langton
#10 Cornell
Midfield
St. John's Prep/Northfield Mount Hermon
Comments: The Big Red continued their Ivy League dominance on Saturday with a statement 19-8 win over Dartmouth, with Chris adding a goal to the cause.

#10.  Jeff Dube
#9 Roanoke
LSM/Defense
St. John's Prep
Comments: While there were a few other players that had more points than Jeff this past week, how can we not recognize a player's first collegiate goal.  Especially when it's a defenseman tallying it.  Oh, and Roanoke won the game against Virgina Wesleyan 24-9.
