TOP GUN LACROSSE CELEBRATES ITS 25TH CAMP SEASON

CLAM ALUMNI FROM WEEK OF 5/3 - 5/8

Which Clam Alumn play on after playoffs start.

All that needs to be said is: PLAYOFFS?!?!

Yes, Playoffs...

So, here...we...go...!

#1. Tim Fallon
Hartford
Midfield/FOGO
Lawrence Academy
Comments: Tim is in the middle of a bigger story for Hartford: 1st America East Championship, 1st trip to the NCAA tournament.  Tim's play in the America East tournament was a big part of it.  The Hawks had a semi-final matchup with UMBC.  In the 14-11 win, Tim was 19-29 at the face-off "X", had 18 ground balls, and added a goal for good measure.  That set up a championship game against #13 Stony Brook.  And in thrilling fashion, Hartford won with 1 second left.  Tim's contribution: 16 for 24 on face-offs and 9 ground balls.  Next up for the Hawks: Cornell in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

#2. Jack Curtis
Endicott
Attack
Chelmsford HS
Comments: Jack performed as one would hope their top player would in the playoffs.  In the Gulls' TCCC Semi-final game with Gordon, Jack posted a balanced 3 goals and 3 assists in a 16-7 win.  Then, on Saturday, in the TCCC Championship game, Jack went for 4 goals and added an assist as #18 Endicott went on to a thrilling 13-12 come-from-behind overtime win. Endicott will host Springfield in the openning round of the D3 NCAA tournament.

#3. Jordan Greenfield
Fairfield
Attack
The Rivers School
Comments: In what most would have considered an upset in the semi-finals of the ECAC tournament, Fairfield took down #17 Loyola to advance to the championship game.  In the game, Jordan had 2 goals.  Unfortunately, despite a fourth quarter rally, the Stags fell short against #6 Denver in the ECAC Championship game 9-11.  Jordan, however, dished out two assists during the Stags impressive fourth quarter run.  Jordan finishes his freshman year tied for third on the team in points (24: 16 goals, 8 assists).

#4. Brendan Grant
Bentley
Attack
Xaverian Brothers HS
Comments: Brendan help give Bentley a chance to advance in the NE-10 playoffs on Tuesday with a 2 goal, 1 assist performance against #16 Merrimack.  Unfortunately it just wasn't enough as the Falcons fell 9-10.  Brendan ends season leading the team with 24 goals and 15 assists.  In his three years at Bentley, he was always a top three scorer on the team and finishes with 55 goals and 40 assists total.

#T5. Billy McNamara (Attack / The Rivers School/Northfield Mount Hermon)
Chris Landers (Attack / Proctor Academy)

Wheaton
Comments: It's fitting that these two are tied together again here.  They have been the driving force for Wheaton all season long and their team looked to them again in their Pilgrim League semi-final game against Babson.  Despite a 1 goal, 5 assist game from Billy and a 2 goal, 1 assist performance from Chris, Wheaton fell to Babson 9-18.  Billy finishes the year leading Wheaton in points (58) and assists (38) while Chris was third on the team in points (40) and second in assists (12).  In Billy's three year career at  Wheaton he amassed 75 goals and 70 assists while in a full four year stint, Chris posted 117 goals and 39 assists.

#6 Donald Berube

Easter Conn. logo EASTERN CONNECTICUT
Goalie
Tewksbury HS

Comments: To get to the Little East Championship game, Eastern Connecticut needed Donald to be on top of his game.  The quarter-final match was against Plymouth State, a game dominated by the Warriors and won 12-5.  Next was a UMass-Dartmouth in which Donald was called upon to make 13 saves (61.9% save percentage) in a 14-8 win to get them to the championship game.  Unfortunately, despite a 12 save effort against Keene State in said championship game, the Warriors fell 9-14.

#T7.  Scott Austin (Attack / Duxbury HS)
Chris Langton (Midfield / St. John's Prep/Northfield Mount Hermon)
Cornell logo #2 Cornell
Comments: Rack up two more Ivy League wins for Cornell.  On Friday, the Big Red beat #20 Yale in the semi-finals of the Ivy League tournament 11-7; Scott added an assist in the effort.  In the championship game, it was Chris's turn to get in the act with a goal as Cornell won the Ivy League title in convincing fashion 15-6 over #18 Harvard.

#9 Mike Griffin
Babson
Midfield
Duxbury HS

Comments: Mike helped Babson reach the Pilgrim League championship game with 1 goal and 2 assists in their semi-final win over Wheaton 18-9.  Unfortunately, Babson couldn't finish the deal and lost to Springfield in the championship game 8-19; Mike tallied an assist in the game.

#10 Justin Kirchner
#15 Colgate
Midfield
Buckingham, Browne & Nichols

Comments: The first one is always the hardest, but in Colgate's last game Justin found the back of the net for his first collegiate goal.  The opponent: #8 Maryland!  Oh, and Colgate scored the win 10-8.  Nice way to finish a season.
