TOP GUN LACROSSE CELEBRATES ITS 25TH CAMP SEASON

Clam Coach Tim Fallon Shines for Rockhoppers

Tim Fallon goes 30 for 37 at the face-off "X" and adds a goal for good measure.

2016 Head Coach Tim Fallon had a stellar game against the Baltimore Bombers this past Saturday going 30 for 37 at the face-off "X" and notching the game-tying goal to send the game to overtime.

This got us thinking that most of the Clam Program may not know how much Tim Fallon brings to the table.  Let's give you some context.

Tim started in Lowell, MA then transfered to Lawrence Academy where he established himself as a their top midfielder (leading the team in scoring his junior year) and began to emerge as a dangerous face-off specialist.  It was in college at the University of Hartford that Tim began showing his dominace as a face-off guy.  Tim also was a Littleneck and Clam from 2006 to 2008.

As a freshman, Tim saw time in every game going 83 for 162 at the "X", grabbing 35 ground-balls and adding a goal for good measure.  Sophomore year was more of the same, this time tallying six points (3 goals, 3 assists) on the season, playing in every game (starting in 11 of the 13), and more than doubling his ground-ball production with 72 to rank 18th in the nation in 2009.  All this earned Tim an America East All-Conference Second Team selection.

As one would expect of an upperclassman, it was in Tim's junior season that he cemented his place as one of the nation's best face-off men.  Tim was named an Honorable Mention All-American, a LaxPower All-American, and an America East Conference First Team selection by leading the nation in win percentage at the "X" (.622, 207 for 333) and ground-balls per game (9.39) as well as breaking the Hartford University school record for ground-balls in a season with 131.

Tim's senior season saw him continue his work-horse style as he grabbed 166 ground-balls (breaking his own record) and mirroring his face-off success with a .621 win percentage (238 for 383).  Tim earned All-American Second Team distinctions this time in addition to an invitation to play in the USILA/LaxWorld North-South game, and was also named the 2011 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association’s Player of the Year.

From there, Tim was drafted to the Denver Outlaws of the MLL in 2011 and has also been a member of the Rochester Rattles (2012) and Charlotte Hounds (2013) as well as the Boston Rockhoppers of the NALL.

Tim has become an invaluable member of the Fighting Clams staff and we wanted everyone to remember the credentials he carries with him.
