All Star Lacrosse

2015 AA teams at the Baltimore Kickoff

Clams '15 AA group splits into 2 teams, and still go 9-1 at their inaugural summer event

Comments: The ’15AA RW team jumpstarted the Summer 2013 Clam season with a 4-1 showing at the Baltimore Kickoff. Despite a disappointing loss in the final game to an impressive Low ‘n Away squad, the ’15 Clams showed that this sophomore group is one that coaches must see. The offense was very exciting to watch, led by Joey Manown and Mikey Harris at attack but the defense stole the show, giving up less than 4.5 goals/game. Skyler Mickunas and Chris Titone were chosen to play in the All Star game along with both of their goaltenders – Tyler Boardo and Josh Kirson. FO Specialist Will Richardson led the midfielders in scoring with six goals over the weekend and was excellent at the face-off X. All in all, an excellent start to the Summer. The bar has been set high and after watching this group at the Kickoff, we are confident that they will deliver.

Comments: Team 2015 AA OB Clams won all five of their games down at the Baltimore Kickoff this past weekend.  Tim Dick, Mack Rush, Caleb Mahoney, Connor Rayfield, and Tommy DeAngelis stood tall on their defensive half, scooping up multiple ground balls and helping to patiently clear the ball to our attack players.  Most importantly, all of these defenders did a great job of stopping many of the opposing attack men. Leading the team with a lot of take always, many ground ball pick-ups, and with his wing play on face-offs, was our LSM Darien Clay, who had a tremendous weekend. Goalies Henry Donnellan and Nathan Masalek did a great job of stopping as many scoring chances as they could. Standing tall in net is getting to be common place for these two, as they are making a name for themselves.

The midfielders and attackman all had outstanding. See below for a statistical breakdown of their performances.

Overall, Coaches Thistle and O'Brien are very proud of everyone’s efforts.  We thought they rose to the occasion against some very strong competition.  Thanks for everyone’s support.  Let’s keep it rollin!!!
