     Title: Clam #12 Commits
Our 12th Clam commitment to a NESCAC school is a signal of things to come

Every year the NESCAC gobbles up many of our most talented Clams, including those who are more than capable of playing D1 ball. Such is certainly the case with St. Johns Prep's Jimmy O'Connell.

The thinking is simple. The caliber of a school's lacrosse program should not make any player settle for a lesser college or university. The D1 pull is extremely strong, so strong in fact that some compromise academic aspirations just to say they got there.

This is something I generally advise against. And it was therefore very gratifying when I heard that Jimmy had chosen to become a Bantam.

Jimmy will join SIX other former Clams on the Trinity roster: Max Alderman (Phillips Exeter, will be a senior midfielder this spring), Teddy Bascom (Lincoln/Sudbury, will be a senior defenseman this spring), Michael Jordan (Rivers, will be a junior midfielder this spring) Steve Manning (Rivers, will be a sophomore midfielder this spring), Jeff Rautiola (Rivers, will be a sophomore midfielder or attackman this spring) and Grant Neumann (Natick HS, will be a freshman defenseman this spring).

Here are the twelve Clams from the 2010 Summer Tour that have committed so far:
