Title: CLAM ALUMNI FROM WEEK OF 4/11 - 17
Clams in bunches

Number ones were toppled this week and Clam Alumni were right in the mix.  Plus, it seems like Clams score together in bunches.

So, here...we...go...

#1.  Scott Austin
#5 Cornell
Attack
Duxbury HS
Comments: This is one of those games that Scott will always remember: scoring 2 goals in a dominant 11-6 win over #1 Syracuse.  Not much more needs to be said about it.

#2. Jordan Greenfield
Fairfield
Attack
The Rivers School
Comments: Last week the Stags dropped a one goal game.  This week, with 4 goals from Jordan, the Stags made sure they came out on the winning side of a 10-9 game against Hartford. Based largely on this performance, Jordan was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week last week (click here to read more: http://www.fairfieldstags.com/news/2011/4/18/MLAX_0418111930.aspx)

#3. John Lenehan
Connecticut College
Goalie
Avon Old Farms
Comments: At the end of the week, John and the Camels were 1-1, but not because of a lack of performance by John.  On Tuesday, John made 11 saves (61.1% save percentage) in a 12-7 win against US Merchant Marines.  Then on Saturday, John gave Conn. College a chance to take down #1 Tufts (Tufts was coming off their first loss of the season, but we'll get to that) with 15 saves (71.4% save percentage).  Unfortunately, Conn. College dropped the contest 5-6.

#4. Jack Curtis
Endicott
Attack
Chelmsford HS
Comments: Like Scott Austin, Jack won't soon forget his game on Tuesday.  It's not every day that you get to knock off a #1 team.  Endicott topped #1 Tufts 9-8 with Jack adding a goal to the effort.  Unfortunately, the Gulls had a bit of a letdown on Thursday against Bowdoin and came out on the losing end of a 12-13 game; Jack had a goal in the contest.  They did bounce back on Saturday with a 14-4 win against Gordon; Jack had 2 goals in that game.

#5.  John Jennings
Colby
Attack
St. John's Prep
Comments: John continues to be the pace-setter for Colby adding 5 goals as the Mules dominated Southern Maine 19-5 on Wednesday.

#6. Brendan Grant
Bentley
Attack
Xaverian Brothers HS
Comments: Brendan and Bentley evened their record up to 4-4 with Wednesday's 15-10 win over Southern New Hampshire.  Brendan had 3 goals and added an assist to the effort, and currently leads Bentley in goals scored, assists, and total points.

#T7. Jack Walker (Attack / Phillips Andover)
Eric Slingerland (Midfield / Phillips Exeter)

Harvard
Comments: In Harvard's 14-7 win over Quinnipiac, Jack notched a goal while Eric dished out an assist in the effort.

#T9.  Jeff Rautiola (Midfield / The Rivers School)
Steve Manning (Midfield / The Rivers School)
Teddy Bascom (LSM / Lincoln-Sudbury HS)
Max Alderman (Midfield / Lincoln-Sudbury HS)

#14 Trinity
Comments: When you have four different Clam Alumni on the same team all have points in a game like this, we have to showcase this!  Jeff led the way with a goal and an assist.  Teddy and Steve both had an goal while Max added an assist.  Unfortunately, Trinity dropped the game 8-12 to #11 Middlebury.
