Title: 2013 & 2014 Clam Commitment Recap, including two latest '14's
Here is a full list of all of our 2013 and 2014 committed Clams thus far, including a writeup of our two latest D1 commits

In the last two weeks, the Clam program's 2014 class has seen D1 commitments #5 and #6, as Joe Delaney & Danny Seibel, both attackmen at the Belmont Hill School, chose their respective paths.

After considering service academies, Ivy League options and a list of several other D1 schools, Joe Delaney opted to become the 2014 class's first commit for the Colgate Red Raiders. A slick attackman with good size and a very unique knack for getting to the goal, Joe had a breakout summer with the Fighting Clams. Joe earned All Star honors at both King of the Hill & Gait Cup. From there, the amount of interest in Joe was among the highest we've had for an attackman in this program. In heading to Colgate, Joe will join fellow Fighting Clam midfielder/attackman Justin Kirchner (BB&N, 5 goals in 2012), and goaltender Conor Murphy (Middlesex, 50.8 save pct. in 2012, started in the NCAA playoffs).

Danny Seibel's summer began with perhaps some mild disappointment. While Danny's play was quite strong, he seemed to get snubbed in the selection process for a couple early summer All Star games. But true to form, Danny kept grinding and piling up the goals, and drew recognition for his play at a list of schools that included but was not limited to Drexel, Air Force, Towson & Hofstra. But Villanova rose to the top of his list, and at their Prospect Day, Danny apparently lit it up. Not only did Danny prove to be one of the best attackmen in attendance, but he proved to be "Villanova's type of attackman". And the rest, as they say, is now history, as Villanova's offer followed shortly after the Prospect day. Danny ends a long Villanova/Clam drought that the coaches down there and I were joking about. But with a couple other 2014 Clams on the 'Nova short list, it may quickly go from raining to pouring.
