Title: 2015/16 A Yale Write Up
The 2015/16A Clams made their last stop of the 2013 summer circuit at the Yale Bulldog Bash.

EVENT RECORD: 3-3-2
OVERALL SUMMER RECORD: 19-7-3

Comments: The 2015/16A Clams finished off the summer with respectable 3-3-2 record at the Yale Bulldog Bash. The two day event saw strong competition from the Tri-state area that had the Clams battling all weekend long.  Though the team was mainly comprised of two different classes, the coaches believed the squad came together as the weekend wore on.

Thomas Oliver (2016 attackman, Phillips Andover Academy) was our offensive catalyst throughout the weekend, finishing many of his opportunities in tight.  Oliver, and fellow attackmen John Hincks (2016 attackman, Belmont Hill) and Carter Rossano (2015 attackman, Pingree) were essential in helping run our offense effectively.  Midfielders Will McCarthy (2015 midfielder, Xaverian) and Eddie Martin (2016 midfielder, Rivers) did a fantastic job between the lines, finishing transition and isolation opportunities.

Will Fokas (2016 LSM, Lowell) was an ironman, terrorizing opponents from his LSM position, while also being our main faceoff man (64% 28-44).  With the help of midfielder Ryan Waystack (2016 midfielder, Masconomet) off the wing, Fokas and Waystack proposed a deadly 1-2 punch at the midfield.  Our close defense played lights out at times, and steady throughout, led by vocal leaders Jacob Boll (2016 defenseman, Newton North) and Andrew DeNucci (2015 defenseman, Newton North). Goalies Lee Grinspoon (2016, Weston) and Nick Connelly (2016, St. Sebastian's) both had excellant games, each ended the weekend with over a 50% save percentage.

With this being the last tournament for many of our 2015/16A Clams, the coaches would like to thank you for your hard work this summer.  As is everything, the hard work you displayed this summer will inevitably pay off in the coming year. We are excited for the potential this group has consistently displayed, and it is our hope that we will build on this strong summer with an even stronger the fall.
